BLIZZARD'S LEG UPDATE

Posted by SamGreen - May 11th, 2010

TARGET GOAL REACHED!

The operation was a huge success! I've uploaded an image of blizzard's new leg (with a metal plate inside). A very special thank you to Tom Fulp at Newgrounds who without his support would not have made this dream a reality.

I think it's safe to say now that all the people will believe me this WAS NOT a scam, and I'm so touched by everyone that even though I regularly updated the donations page, there were still those that donated a little bit extra requesting I buy him a new toy or some special treats. Which I defiantly did (Bones bigger than his head!).

I'm sorry this has been a long time coming for the reply - there's a lot of you that asked about his progress and thanks too all for your support. Not only to those that donated money, but to those who told friends, that shared this around communities, that made posts on their websites, blogs and twitters.

On a good note: Blizzard's leg is still healing though he is using it again (occasionally). The muscle development is coming along well apparently and as long as he continues to receive the TLC he deserves he'll be fine. He managed to eat 500grams of mince meat off our bench the other night - his leg can't be that sore to reach it up there! XD Cheeky dog.

Thanks again all. You are the amazing people that make this world worth living.

Love Samus & Blizzard

Good to hear that blizzard is going fine.

That's great, I love the fact your dogs doing well, hope it lives a long healthy life :D

Beautiful dog very good to here that hes going to be fine. btw is he a husky or a German Shepard

Siberian Husky, though he doesn't follow the patten traits as much as most... though his curled tail, thick mane, face and leg patterns gives him the husky look. :)

A happy dog makes my day.

Awesome man, glad to hear that!

dawww

glad to hear it

I almost feel guilty about not knowing about this incident at all.
I didn't know about all this till I saw your shout on the front page about the "Blizzard's Leg Update". To be honest, at first I thought it was some Blizzard employee advertising about another of their silly WoW updates, so I clicked it just for shits and giggles.
And I see a picture of a dog. This is where I immediately start reading.
So, once done reading everything here, I clicked the link for Blizzard's website - And began reading about the incident there.

I'm a dog-person myself. I've got a 3-year old black Labrador, and used to own a Boxer (who sadly had to be put down for various reasons. Sickness, mainly. The poor bastard even had traces of cancer).

Honestly. From the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry I never knew about all this. No doubt I would have donated in one way or another.

Also from the bottom of my heart, I'm glad Blizzard is alright again.
It's sad to see a dog reduced to three legs - Even if they can survive, even if they're perfectly fine like that, they just don't deserve hopping around missing a leg.

Doggy looks happy - make another flash.

Wut, that's all? Just a pic? D: I demand a live action video starring blizzard, or something. Great to hear he's okay.

yay, Happy ending!... except for your mince meat D:

I was just wondering about this the other day, glad to hear that everything's working out for the best.

I'm so glad to hear that! :D

I felt happy when I donated.

realy good to hear blizzards better again ;)

He's so cute :3

That is wonderful! I am so happy to hear that he is recovering nicely!
